Becoming a PaY Summer Internship Host
Eligibility and Important Dates
To qualify as a host organization, your nonprofit must:

Be a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Have the capacity and staff to employ and mentor a full-time intern on-site.

Provide a meaningful, career-related project that builds organizational capacity.

Attend key program events, including the Internship Kick-Off, Site Visits, and the Internship Celebration.
Program Overview
The PaY Summer Internship Program empowers nonprofits by providing grants to host talented high school students for impactful summer internships. Interns work on a dedicated special project crafted by your organization, contributing approximately 70% of their time to its completion while gaining invaluable mentorship and career-related experience.

As a host organization, you’ll receive a $7,000 grant to cover intern wages, employment costs, and administrative stipends. Interns earn $15/hour and work 32 hours per week from mid-June to mid-August. Together, we can foster a meaningful experience that strengthens your nonprofit and inspires the next generation of community leaders.
